The relevance of this topic stems from the fact that in a digital municipality, a citizen's profile is becoming a significant element in the exercise of rights and the receipt of municipal services. The purpose of this study is to substantiate a civil law understanding of a citizen's digital profile in a digital municipality. The author hypothesizes that a digital profile requires an independent, private law understanding, as it serves as a form of digital projection of a citizen's identity in the context of platform-based interaction with public authorities. The methodological basis of the study is formed by general scientific and specialized legal methods of inquiry: dialectical, formal legal, systemic, and legal modeling methods. This article proposes understanding a citizen's digital profile as a systematized set of verified digital information about an individual, generated and used during their interaction with municipal information systems. The procedural and substantive meanings of a digital profile are distinguished: the former is associated with identification, authorization, and access to digital services, while the latter is associated with the accumulation of legally significant information about a citizen that can influence the exercise of their rights and legitimate interests. The study concludes that a digital profile has a complex internal structure, including identification, status, and transactional components. The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that a civil law understanding of a digital profile allows for the identification of ways to protect violated citizen rights.
