This article focuses on the practical application of artificial intelligence technologies in the activities of the customs authorities of the Russian Federation. The study includes a comparative analysis of the experience of implementing intelligent solutions in the customs sector. The main trends in the use of AI in the Russian customs service have been identified. Additionally, the article identifies the priority areas for the application of artificial intelligence in the customs sector and provides a comprehensive list of modern technical tools with AI functionality that are used in the routine work processes of the customs authorities. The article also highlights the benefits of using intelligent technologies to improve the performance of the Russian customs authorities. One of the possible areas is the development of domestic information systems with AI functions in order to improve the efficiency of customs control and speed up customs operations.
