The article analyzes the amendments to criminal legislation introduced by Article 235.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which establishes liability for the forgery and trafficking of forged official documents certifying the absence of diseases that pose a danger to others. The author examines the specific features of the object, subject matter, objective and subjective aspects, as well as the perpetrator of this offence. Based on an analysis of legislative provisions, doctrinal approaches, and law enforcement practice, it is concluded that, despite the novelty of the criminal law norm, many problems relating to the qualification and proof of these acts are longstanding and require a systemic solution.
