A number of foreign countries continue to encroach on the results of the Second World War, which are expressed in regular attempts at various levels to distort historical facts and negate the key role of the USSR in the Victory over Nazi Germany. In this regard, it is necessary to take timely appropriate response measures to counter attempts to falsify historical facts. The scientific article examines the legal basis for regulating the preservation of historical memory in the Russian Federation. Using the example of the activities of non-governmental structures of the Republic of Poland located in the Kaliningrad region and Polish representatives of the scientific community, the author analyzes the content of destructive activities aimed at interfering in issues related to the preservation of historical memory, as well as attempts to influence the youth of the specified region of the Russian Federation.
