In the proposed scientific article, the authors had the opportunity, based on their scientific research, to identify the mechanisms of subject-subject interaction of a lawyer, in which the professional, as the initiator of the communication process, realizes its main functions and aspects that determine its professional success; to identify the directions of psychological influence in the activities of a lawyer, including unlawful influence; the difficulties in recognizing it; the consequences of such influence; and the need for legal practice to develop emotional intelligence as a basis for forming professional competence in determining the boundaries of the legality of psychological influence and preventing its unlawful use.
