Mediation and Conciliation Procedures in Resolving Sports Disputes
Annotation
This article is devoted to the analysis of mediation and conciliation procedures for the resolution of sports disputes. Drawing on global experience in using alternative forms of sports dispute resolution and citing specific examples from judicial practice, the author describes the key advantages of negotiation and mediation for resolving sports conflicts, and also suggests ways to improve current Russian legislation in terms of establishing qualification requirements for sports mediators.
