Annotation

The article analyzes the current state and prospects of cooperation among the BRICS countries in combating cybercrime and matters of international information security. The author draws attention to the main challenges: the rapid growth in the number of cyberattacks, the varying levels of technological development among BRICS countries, and political disagreements on the international stage. Special consideration is given to coordination mechanisms, such as the BRICS Working Group on Cybersecurity and the registry of contact points for the rapid exchange of information on incidents. The development of a regulatory framework for cooperation, including bilateral treaties and initiatives within the UN, is examined. It is noted that, despite different approaches to regulating cyberspace, the BRICS countries generally adhere to a unified position on deepening cooperation. In conclusion, the importance of further harmonization of laws and the development of joint training programs and operational interaction is emphasized.
