Having accumulated a vast system of diverse knowledge over its centuries-long history, the global community, unfortunately, has still not been able to create a reliable barrier against corruption — a social phenomenon that has become a huge problem not only for individual states but for all of humanity. In today's world, various manifestations of corruption have long since transcended national boundaries, acquiring international and transnational proportions. Corruption crimes pose a heightened public danger because they corrode the state and society from within, undermining public trust in the authorities and causing irreparable damage to the unshakable foundations of statehood. Therefore, actively combating crimes and other manifestations of corruption, especially on the international stage, is extremely important and relevant. This article explores the measures taken by Russian prosecutorial authorities to combat corruption on an international scale, the most important of which is the extradition of criminals fleeing justice both in Russia and from Russian law enforcement agencies abroad. Based on the research conducted, several proposals for optimizing international cooperation are formulated.
