Annotation

From the standpoint of the history and theory of state and law, and the history of political doctrines, some results of two scientific forums (a congress and a conference) are highlighted. On these forums, on the occasion of, firstly, the 100th anniversary of the first Criminal Code of the RSFSR and, secondly, the 30th anniversary of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the main problems concerning the current state of the comprehensive system (in many respects, an anti-system) — Criminal Law Sciences (numerous branches of knowledge now united under a single scientific specialty numbered 5.1.4.) — were raised. The author of this article, examining the genesis and evolution of the institutions of "crime" and "punishment," has discovered that the theory of criminal law, in proud isolation, has marked yet another "grim anniversary" of its anti-system.
