This article examines the role of electoral commissions in building dialogue with voters through various technologies, which ultimately results in voters being informed about elections. When considering the issue of vesting precinct election commissions with new responsibilities for informing voters during the implementation of the InformUEC project, both the positive aspects of direct targeted communication with voters during door-to-door (house-to-house) visits by members of the precinct election commissions and the negative aspects of this communication are noted, expressed primarily in the lack of guarantees for the safety of election commission employees. In conclusion, conclusions are drawn regarding the guarantee by electoral commissions of the principle of equality of citizens' electoral rights, and the author also makes a number of proposals for ensuring the security of polling stations, equipping them with mobile communications, and further improving federal electoral legislation.
