Digital Forensics: Investigation of Corruption Crimes
Annotation
This paper examines the role of digital forensics in the detection and proof of corruption. The author examines the evolution of approaches to working with electronic traces, as well as the potential of modern forensic technology in extracting and analyzing information from digital media. Drawing on the views of leading procedural and criminological experts, and summarizing empirical evidence from investigative and judicial practice, this article systematizes the main barriers (regulatory, tactical, and organizational) hindering the full implementation of digital technologies in criminal proceedings. The article concludes with proposals for optimizing forensic methods for investigating corruption schemes in the era of the total digitalization of social relations.
