On International Law Origins of UN Peacekeeping Operations (World War II and the Establishment of the Peacekeeping Regime)
Annotation
The article analyzes the international legal outcomes of the Second World War and their impact on the emergence of a special UN regime for ensuring universal peace and security — peacekeeping operations. The author reveals the significance and content of a number of conferences and documents from the period of the Second World War for the creation of collective forces to ensure international peace and security. Based on the results of the study, general conclusions are formulated reflecting the formation of the legal regime of modern peacekeeping operations.
