The Notary Office of the Russian Federation is at the very center of the creation and use of modern information technologies, which have significantly changed notary actions. This area of notary development has been called the electronic notary in the legal literature. An analysis of the legal regulation of this technology has revealed many social conflicts, some of which are transformed into legal disputes. Using the example of notary's executive inscription cases, it is proposed to continue improving the legal regulation of the electronic notary, as well as to summarize judicial practice in this area. The authors also reviewed the draft law on notaries prepared by the Ministry of Justice of Russia. It has been established that the draft law has a number of shortcomings in terms of regulating information technology, which it would be advisable to correct before its adoption by the legislative bodies of public authority.
