The article discusses some legislative innovations aimed at improving notary practice. The new rules for making an executive inscription on debt collection under a loan agreement were considered; making an executive inscription when making a mediation agreement on debt repayment; verifying the authenticity of an interpreter's signature; searching for a will at the request of competent authorities of foreign states and other legislative changes. Based on the results of the study, it was proposed to change the quota system for notary positions, establish the status of a notary as an official with immunity and inviolability by analogy with the position of a judge, and fix the age limit for the exercise of powers by a notary.
