The article discusses the problems of regulatory and legal regulation of the activities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, which affect the efficiency of its work and law enforcement practice. Among the key problems are the legal uncertainty of the status of the agency, digitalization and technical re-equipment, gaps in the regulation of digital technologies, and the development of interagency cooperation.
