Indeterminism as a Methodological Foundation of Modern Victimological Crime Prevention
Annotation
This article examines the evolution of methodological approaches to crime prevention. The author argues that traditional deterministic models, based on rigid linear cause-and-effect relationships, are losing their explanatory and predictive effectiveness in the era of globalization and digitalization. As an alternative, an indeterministic approach is proposed, based on the principles of probabilistic causality and recognizing the role of chance and free choice.
