For the first time, the article examines the administrative liability of officials for non-compliance with labor legislation. However, the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation does not contain the definitions of its main categories, which makes it difficult to regulate this liability legally. Additionally, this makes it impossible to understand the application of administrative liability to subjects of a completely different branch of law. This situation indicates that the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation lacks a legal basis for establishing this liability. In this regard, the legislator is invited to rethink the doctrine of the liability in question and exclude the term "officials" from Article 5.27 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
