Annotation

The article examines the formation of the Soviet post-war concept of state sovereignty, which came into conflict with Western cosmopolitan theories of the denial of sovereignty. The appeal to historical sources made it possible to actualize the domestic experience of resisting attempts to discredit the category of "sovereignty" in the context of the expansion of monopolistic capital, which intensified in the middle of the 20th century. It is noted that Soviet legal science proved the compatibility and correlation of international law and sovereignty. The relevance of the Soviet thesis that international peace can be achieved through mutual respect for the sovereignty of States and their collective guarantee is substantiated.
