The article examines the impact of digital transformation on the development of civil society and identifies problems in this area. It has been established that in modern conditions, when the information society is actively developing, and the current stage of its development is associated with the development of digital technologies and the data economy, there is a restructuring of the order in which the institutions of civil society function. In the context of digital transformation, civil society institutions are using new forms of interaction with the state, new forms of control over its activities. The specifics of interactions in this area correlate with the political regime established in the state, the level of digital competence of the population, as well as the willingness of civil society institutions to adapt to a dynamically changing environment. However, the expansion of forms of civil society participation in government activities with the help of digital technologies also contributes to the emergence of new risks and threats, and therefore the importance of protecting human rights, increasing trust in public authorities, developing effective mechanisms for interaction, and ensuring security remains unchanged.
