The purpose of this scientific article is to identify key issues and trends in the legal regulation of intellectual property in China. According to the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and information received from the scientific literature, there has been an increase in the number of lawsuits and an increase in demand for intellectual property registration from national and foreign applicants. At the same time, the problem related to the production and distribution of counterfeit products is highlighted, cases from foreign and domestic practice are considered, and the main causes of this phenomenon are highlighted. In the process of studying the materials, the following scientific methods were used: analysis, synthesis and a systematic approach. In conclusion, the recent initiatives adopted by the Chinese government in 2025 aimed at improving the intellectual property protection system by 2027 are reviewed.
