Internal Affairs Bodies as Subjects of Ensuring National Security of the Russian Federation: The Genesis of Legislative Views
Annotation
This article examines the understudied issue of the genesis of Russian legislation incorporating internal affairs agencies into the system of entities responsible for ensuring the national security of the Russian Federation. Various regulatory legal acts in the security sphere are analyzed, and the relationship between strategic planning documents and other regulatory legal acts defining the status and system of internal affairs agencies, as well as their powers in ensuring national security, is established. The current status of internal affairs agencies within the national security system is determined, and the author provides a definition of internal affairs agencies as entities responsible for ensuring the national security of the Russian Federation.
