General Jurisdiction Courts and Constitutional (Statutory) Councils of Constituent Entities of the Russian Federation: Delimitation of Powers and Possible Forms of Interaction

Annotation

The abolition of constitutional (charter) courts of the subjects of the Russian Federation en-tailed the transfer of the powers they exercised to control the compliance of laws and other norma-tive legal acts with the constitutions (charters) of the subjects of the Russian Federation to courts of general jurisdiction, which exercise these powers in the order of administrative proceedings, in-cluding in those subjects of the Russian Federation in which constitutional (charter) councils have been formed - special non-judicial bodies of constitutional control (supervision). In this regard, the problems of delimitation of powers and possible forms of interaction between courts of general jurisdiction and constitutional (charter) councils of the subjects of the Russian Federation in the implementation of their activities in the sphere of normative control are becoming relevant.
