The Party System of China — Multi-Party Cooperation with Chinese Characteristics
Annotation
The article examines the specifics of the existing system of multiparty cooperation in China under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, analyzes the historical background of its formation. Maintaining the existing system of multiparty cooperation is a way to protect against possible political upheavals, and is aimed at preventing a split in Chinese society and preventing outside forces from interfering in China's political life. The Western model of multiparty system, based on the priority of the individual over society, on the division of society into opposing groups, each of which defends the interests of its part of the population, is unacceptable from the point of view of the traditional mentality of the Chinese, based on Confucian traditions, on achieving harmony in society, the search for harmony, the priority of society over the individual.
