Moral Foundations of Russian Justice in the Constitutional Coordinates of Equality and Justice
Annotation
Jurisprudence's increased attention to spiritual and moral values is directly related to Russia's return to our sociocultural identity and national historical traditions. Spiritual, moral, and ethical values, receiving normative and legal recognition, including at the constitutional level, acquire the legal significance of categories of current law and permeate all areas of the legal order. This is particularly significant in relation to justice, whose specific nature, as a unique form of state and governmental activity, is aimed at the search for "truth" and justice based on the equality of all before the law and the courts. The moral principles of justice are universal and comprehensive; by permeating power-judicial relations, they extend to all constitutionally established forms of justice and are implemented at all levels of its administration. At the same time, in the constitutional mechanism for the practical implementation of the principles of moral justice - meaning both jurisdictional and judicial-lawmaking activities - a special role belongs to the values of equality and justice.
