The article is devoted to new trends in the migration policy of the Russian Federation. The article draws attention to the changed approaches in the Concept of the Migration Policy of the Russian Federation for 2026-2030. The article analyzes the features of obtaining a residence permit (permanent residence) and citizenship of the Russian Federation by certain categories of persons. The article also focuses on the specific legal status of individuals who share Russian spiritual and moral values and individuals who are of interest to the Russian Federation.
