Names of Residential Complexes Through the Prism of the Russian Language Law. Can One Obtain a Trademark for a Residential Complex?
Annotation
The article examines the legal regime of residential complexes' names and cases of their legal protection, the possibilities of state registration of names as a trademark, the legal protection of names and the possibilities of their registration in connection with the entry into force of the law on the Russian language. The article shows the impact of amendments made to the Federal Law "On Participation in Shared Construction" on changes in the market of development services, and the legal protection of residential complexes' names as commercial designations.
