A special military operation has provoked an increase in cases of establishing de facto parenthood in the courts. The applicants, in a special procedure for establishing legal facts, apply to the courts to confirm the family relationship between them and the deceased serviceman, despite the obvious presence of a family legal dispute and (or) a dispute over the right to social support. As a result of the conducted research, the author comes to the conclusion that in order to form a uniform judicial practice for determining the composition of participants, the circumstances that are subject to proof, the rules of proof, and the permissibility of reducing the rules for leaving an application without consideration, it is necessary for the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation to adopt a resolution of the Plenum.
