The article deals with the problems of local political participation. This participation is increasingly mediated by digital tools, which facilitate anonymity and allow to overcome barriers created by physical distance and personal circumstances. Political participation, however, should not be limited solely to digital tools. Analog participation remains relevant at the local level, as interpersonal communication, considered the most effective means of citizen engagement, is crucial here. As an extension of existing practices, digital channels often overlap with established analog channels of participation. This complicates local democracy, but at the same time makes it more multifaceted, allowing for a greater number of citizens to become involved in the political process.
