Cooperation between Russia and Serbia in the Field of Archival Affairs as a Basis for the Development of Bilateral Dialogue in the Humanitarian Sphere
Annotation
Studying the historical past of Russia and Serbia through the exchange of electronic copies of archival documents and materials is a relevant issue, as it can lay the foundation for strengthening bilateral relations in the humanitarian sphere—encompassing education, science, and culture. It has been determined that exchanging electronic documents will help identify and examine historical facts requiring clarification or supplementation, particularly regarding wars and events that involved Russia, Serbia, and the Balkans as a whole. The study establishes that such cooperation can facilitate the creation of Russian-Serbian research groups dedicated to comparing existing data on historical events. This scholarly exchange will serve as a basis for enhancing cultural ties between Russia and Serbia. Based on the research, the author concludes that the current state and trajectory of Russian-Serbian relations make it feasible to sign an agreement on inter-archival cooperation as a first step toward a broader agreement on humanitarian collaboration.
