Judicial Review of the Legality of Political Parties' Activities: Specifics of the Russian Model
Annotation
This article examines the specifics of the current model of judicial review of political party legality in Russia. It explores the legal nature of this institution and demonstrates its implementa-tion in administrative, civil and criminal proceedings. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the legal framework governing the suspension and liquidation of political parties, including the relationship between the general procedure for making such decisions by the court, as regulated by the Code of Administrative Proceedings of the Russian Federation and the Federal Law “On Political Parties”, and the special procedures provided for by the federal laws “On Countering Extremist Activity” and “On Countering Terrorism”. It advocates the need to systematize the norms governing these social relations to ensure uniformity in administrative and judicial practice.
