Some Aspects of Notarial Certification of the Authenticity of Signatures on Documents

The article considers current issues of notarial certification of signature authenticity on documents. General provisions of this notarial act, positions existing in scientific literature are analyzed, problematic aspects of legal regulation are identified. Particular attention is paid to situations when a citizen cannot personally sign a document for objective reasons, as well as cases of inadmissible requests for certification of signature on procedural documents. The work also touches upon the issue of requirements directly to the citizen's signature when performing notarial certification. The study substantiates the need to develop clear legal guidelines that will help solve problematic aspects, while maintaining the dispositional principles in notarial activity.
