Objective: To examine issues related to the provision of assistance, including legal assistance requiring notarial actions, to individuals subject to penitentiary, executive, and post-penitentiary probation. Methodology: a combination of general scientific, sociological and special legal methods. The work is based on the analytical method, synthesis, induction, system-structural, formal-logical, technical-legal methods. Conclusions: Probation in the Russian Federation has been implemented recently (since 2024). A regulatory framework has been developed and approved, and a mechanism for providing assistance, including legal assistance requiring notarial actions, has been established. However, due to the brief period of practical application of the probation institution, certain aspects are gradually being adjusted and the regulatory framework is being developed. Scientific and practical significance: As a result of the conducted work, the algorithms for providing assistance to individuals subject to probation have been studied. Current legislation has been analyzed, and a series of proposals has been formulated in the area of legal assistance related to the application of probation.
