This study analyzes the institution of witness interrogation in the context of notary activities. The authors examine the legal grounds for a notary's interrogation of a witness, as well as its goals and objectives. Special attention is given to the practical aspects of witness interrogation by a notary. Finally, the study explores the prospects for the development of this institution in the Russian notary system.
