Directions for the Development of Interaction between Customs Authorities and Marketplace Owners
Annotation
The article is devoted to the development of information interaction between customs authorities and marketplace owners, as marketplace owners act as full-fledged trade and commercial intermediaries for sellers of imported goods. However, administrative and criminal law does not regulate the responsibility of marketplace owners as intermediaries in the sale of goods with signs of undeclared or false declaration, smuggling, or counterfeiting. This necessitates the development of the legal system in our country, given that marketplace owners not only provide information and transportation services to sellers of counterfeit goods, but also simplify their interaction with customers. For quite a long time, customs authorities have been negotiating with marketplace owners to strengthen control over imported goods sold on electronic marketplaces. However, at the moment, marketplace owners do not have enough administrative resources and legal motivation to increase the level of information interaction with customs authorities and combat counterfeiting.
