The article analyzes the supervision and control practice in the field of labor protection for 2024 based on Rostrud's Order No. 151 dated 06/02/2025. The dynamics and effectiveness of control measures, typical violations, the use of risk indicators and the practice of coordinating control and supervisory measures with the prosecutor's office are considered. Special attention is paid to the special assessment of working conditions as a key preventive tool, as well as legal conflicts between the requirements of Federal Law No. 248 FZ and the norms of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. Based on the generalization of law enforcement practice, proposals are formulated to improve legislation on state control (supervision) in the field of labor, aimed at specifying criteria for approving unscheduled inspections, developing a risk-based approach and improving the effectiveness of risk indicators.
