Annotation
This article examines the theoretical relationship between international law and comparative law from the perspective of contemporary Russian and international doctrine. The study concludes on the importance of comparative law for various international legal processes: the conclusion and implementation of international treaties, the harmonization and approximation of national legislation when participating in interstate integration associations and international organizations, the uniform interpretation of international treaties, as well as generally recognized principles and norms of international law, and the renovation and modernization of international law
