International Legal Regulation of Energy Cooperation Between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China
Annotation
The article presents a legal study of the system of international agreements constituting the treaty framework of energy cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China over the period from 1996 to 2026. Based on the analysis of normative and doctrinal sources, the stages of formation of the regulatory legal framework for bilateral energy partnership have been identified, and the principal public law mechanisms of regulation have been characterised. The author concludes that there has been a progressive increase in the complexity of the international legal regulation of energy relations between the two States, driven both by economic factors and by the geopolitical transformation of the global energy order
