Digital Platforms in Russian Law: Concept and Classification
Annotation
In this paper, the author examines the novelties of Russian legislation aimed at regulating platform solutions (including those in the financial market), and concludes that there is a lack of necessary uniformity in the terminology. The author proposes the characteristics of digital platforms, examines the concept of a digital platform as defined in current Russian legislation, and identifies its shortcomings. As one of the results of the study, the author proposes a universal legal definition of digital platforms that can be used both for doctrinal purposes and in the development of regulatory acts. Based on the developed universal definition of the “digital platform”, the author proposes a legally significant classification of digital platforms. The work is a private opinion of the author. Nothing in this work can be considered as an official position of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service
