Annotation

The article examines one of the urgent problems of the administrative and legal sphere - bringing to justice for violating the requirements for light transmission of vehicle windows provided for in part 1 of Article 12.5 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). The object of the study is the specifics of the legal structure of this offense, the specifics of law enforcement practice, the difficulties encountered in establishing the signs of an offense and the sanctions imposed. The author pays special attention to significant gaps and problems typical for the practical implementation of this rule of law, related to the technical features of light transmission measurement, the possibility of errors by law enforcement officers and distortions of objective data during inspections
