Victory in the Great Patriotic War was achieved thanks to the courage and valor of the Red Army soldiers, partisan and underground formations, heroic work in the rear, as well as the police officers who fought at the front, beat the enemy in the frontline and occupied territories, and at the same time were busy ensuring public safety and law and order throughout the country. It is for this reason that in this work the author would like to express deep respect and pay tribute to the memory of the Soviet police officers in the process of analyzing the national military history, who from the initial stage of the war, together with the Red Army soldiers, sailors, border guards began to give all their strength and life heroically fighting the enemy at the fronts, prevented attempts by sabotage units to penetrate military units stationed in cities, neutralized enemies in the frontline territories and in the rear, provided comprehensive assistance to the population, thereby strengthening the power of our country and bringing it closer to victory. During the war, the country's leadership set a difficult but extremely important task for the police officers - to ensure the security of army units and the rear, and they successfully coped with it.
