The article reveals the specifics of the legal regulation of social policy in the federal territory of Sirius. The special nature of the functioning of public authority in the federal territory of Sirius is noted, which consists in the possibility of independent exercise of powers on subjects of joint jurisdiction of the Russian Federation and the subjects of the Russian Federation. This defines the obligation of the public authorities of the federal territory of Sirius to form an independent system of legal regulation, providing for the provision of social support measures and social assistance. The result of the law-making activities of the Sirius Council of the Federal Territory is the Social Code adopted in 2023, which systematized previously adopted legal acts regulating relations on the provision of social support measures. Attention is drawn to the regional practice of forming legislation in this area, including through the adoption of regional social codes. The structure of the social code of the federal territory "Sirius" is analyzed, the main features characterizing the specifics of the specified legal act are highlighted. The conclusion is substantiated that the adoption of the Sirius Social Code of the federal territory is relevant and necessary in the context of respecting the rights and freedoms of residents of the federal territory, and corresponds to the advanced nature of this public legal entity, created to achieve national goals, the effectiveness of which depends, in particular, on the existing system of measures aimed at implementing social policy.
