Informational Intermediaries in Contractual Relations
Annotation
The work is devoted to the study of the subject composition of contractual relations in the digital environment. It has been established that digital transformation has given rise to a new subject of relations — an information intermediary. It has been determined that there is currently an active stage of legislative reform aimed at regulating the platform economy and streamlining the subject composition and defining the conceptual framework for the most common civil law relations related to the sale of goods, performance of works, and provision of services on the Internet. It has been revealed that the free use of terminology by scientists and lawmakers currently leads only to confusion and ambiguity in the legal regulation of online relations. Based on the results of the study, it has been concluded that the term “information intermediary” is a generic term, and the most common type of such intermediary is an information aggregator.
