The amendments made to the Federal Constitutional Law “On the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation” in November 2020 as a result of a major constitutional reform included, among other things, an expansion of the powers of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation in determining the limits of foreign interference in the domestic legal system. The new Chapter XIII.2 of the Law on the Constitutional Court granted this judicial body the authority to review the enforceability of decisions made by interstate judicial bodies. This study provides a critical analysis of these legislative innovations, focusing primarily on the legal drafting techniques employed by the legislator in formulating the normative provisions. The article also expresses concern regarding the prospects for the practical implementation of this power of the Constitutional Court.
