The article examines the features of the application of critical high-tech (knowledge-intensive) technologies in the electoral process of the Russian Federation. It has been established that the use of innovative technologies at certain stages of the electoral process (when verifying voter signatures, during election campaigning and voting) contributes, on the one hand, to increasing the transparency and objectivity of electoral procedures, and on the other hand, raises the question of the formation of different legal models for regulating electoral legal relations. It is substantiated that at the stage of nomination and registration of candidates, the introduction of innovative solutions for verifying signature sheets is an example of effective integration of critical high-tech technologies into the electoral process, aimed at strengthening confidence in elections. It has been revealed that at the stage of election campaigning, a protective legal model for regulating electoral legal relations is being formed regarding the use of digital technologies in the creation of campaign materials. It is noted that at the current stage, in the context of preparations for federal-level election campaigns, such a model is the most promising. At the voting stage, the formation of a proactive model of legal regulation has been identified, expressed in the phased introduction of innovative technologies within the framework of experimental and special legal regimes to ensure the expansion of opportunities for the realization of citizens' electoral rights.
