Specifics of Food Supply to the Rear Services of the Red Army during the Great Patriotic War: Historical and Legal Aspects
Annotation
The article examines the peculiarities of food supply to the rear services of the Red Army during the Great Patriotic War. The issues of creating logistics services of the Soviet Army are investigated. It is noted that in the nomenclature of priority measures of the logistics services, food supply is given priority. It is revealed that the problem of food supply to the front and the civilian population was solved due to the unshakeable character of the Soviet people. It is revealed that the situation in the food industry of the USSR, due to the shortage of food and agricultural raw materials, was extremely difficult. The legal documents of the GKO and NPOs of the USSR have been studied. It is shown that J.V. Stalin paid special attention to the issues of food supply to the active army. The practical experience of conducting military operations during the Great Patriotic War clearly revealed that timely food supply to advanced units is of paramount importance. The accumulated knowledge needs to be expanded and used in the training of specialists in the logistics services of the modern army.
