Annotation
This article examines the evolution of inheritance legal relations and the development of contractual forms of inheritance in Roman law. It examines the key stages in the development of the Roman inheritance law system. It examines the specifics of contractual regulation of inheritance relations, the evolution of wills, and their legal significance. The influence of Roman inheritance law on the development of similar institutions of modern legal systems is analyzed.
