Natural Resources as Renewable Energy Sources: Legal Issues of Definition and Correlation
Annotation
The author examines the legal and doctrinal definitions of the concepts of “renewable energy sources” and “natural resources” from the point of view of their use as energy resources. The special role of the institution of ownership of natural resources, the importance of its ecological and economic essence for renewable energy in the paradigm of the development of institutions for limiting greenhouse gas emissions and climate protection are noted. The forms of using natural objects as a spatial basis for the placement of objects based on renewable energy sources are analyzed. The author concludes that natural resources and individual components of the natural environment can be both sources of renewable energy and serve as a spatial basis for the placement of renewable energy facilities.
