Unity of the Peoples of Russia as a State Legal Idea: Value Grounds and Challenges of the Modern World

Annotation

This article analyzes the unity of the peoples of Russia as a fundamental state and legal con-cept rooted in value-based foundations. The author argues that Russian law, rooted in shared spir-itual and moral principles and a sense of sovereignty, has historically evolved and is the normative embodiment of this unity, aimed at integration and a common destiny. The constitutional formula "multinational people" legitimizes unity through a shared history, space, and civilizational choice, which contrasts with the Western contractual paradigm. In the face of contemporary challenges, including external pressure and migration processes that can undermine this value framework, protecting sovereignty and historical truth is particularly important. The author emphasizes the need for a civilizationally responsible migration policy aimed at cultural and value-based integra-tion, as well as the key role of science and education. The conclusion concludes that the unity of peoples is a core principle of the rule of law, requiring deep understanding and instrumentalization to strengthen our common destiny.
