Annotation

The article examines the main stages of the emergence and development of the institution of extrajudicial debt collection in Russia by making an executive inscription by a notary. The article analyzes the role of the notary in the socio–economic life of the state as a key participant in the civil law turnover. Legislative acts regulating the procedure for making executive inscriptions at different stages of the development of the Soviet and Russian states have been identified. The perspective directions of development of the institute of executive lettering in modern realities are considered. The author comes to the conclusion that the notary's executive inscription has been a reliable way to protect the rights and legitimate interests of business participants for a considerable time.
