The article examines the dual legal status of the modern notary, the essence of the organization of state control in the notarial system, defines the concept of internal corporate control, highlights the distinctions between control and supervision, and evaluates the reasons and grounds for developing and adopting a new law on notarial system, which provides for the de facto removal of notarial chambers from the leadership of the notary profession.
